Hey there, DETECTIVES! DETECTIVE WRITER To tell you all about how to start your own book to get it published quicker than you think in 4 simplified steps. Trust me, it really is. A few of you have asked me how to get started so let’s begin, DETECTIVES.
- First, get an idea and start drafting. Even if you aren’t sure, I promise you, if you write, “I don’t know” or “IDK” over and over again, something WILL come out.
- If you can go the traditional route and find a publisher. Begin writing a query letter and this site has great tips to impress literary agents.
- If you choose to self-publish, you can use my publisher, New Degree Press as an example: all of the royalties will be yours, it’s a bit pricey but I promise you, the benefits are worth it.
- Trust in your journey: no one’s process is better or worse, right or wrong, you WILL succeed and become an author.
