Murder Mystery Storytime: The Girl From the Main!

Hey there, DETECTIVES! DETECTIVE WRITER here to tell you all about an unsolved case that occurred in Germany 2001. TRIGGER WARNING: I will be discussing the murder of a teenage girl in a bit of detail so if anyone is uncomfortable, please feel free to skip ahead.

TRIGGER WARNING: this is the police sketch of the girl from the main.

The girl from the main’s body was first discovered on July 31st, 2001 at around 2:50 P.M. in the Main River in Nied, Germany. She was naked, wrapped and bound, and estimated to be around 15 to 16 years old. Although, she was thought to look about 13 years old. She had quite an extensive amount of injuries on her body which was an indication that unfortunately, she may have been abused for several years to which none were treated by a doctor. She had cigarette burns, scars on her legs, forehead, and a blood clot injury in one of her ears.

She weighed only 85 pounds and her height was 5’2. Her teeth were not in the best shape, she had dark brown hair, and her eye color could not be detected. Her body was in the water for over 12 to 14 hours, and the cause of death was blunt force trauma which was a result of two fractured ribs that had injured her spleen and lungs. It was estimated that she was murdered 3 days prior to her body being found. Her body was weighted down and tied with a parasol stand before being tossed in the Main River.

It was assumed that she came from Pakistan since she had a scarf like object with her and may have been someone’s servant. To this day; however, her true identity still remains a mystery as well as to who took her life. To this day, this case remains unsolved.

I hope you have enjoyed this storytime as much as I did, DETECTIVES! Please let me know in the comments if you want more storytime! Have a great day, night, afternoon, or evening, DETECTIVES! Stay tuned for next week’s post; until then, keep on sleuthing, DETECTIVES!

Murder Mystery Storytime: The Death of Molly Bish!

Hey there, DETECTIVES! DETECTIVE WRITER here to tell you all about an unsolved case that occurred in Massachusetts, the disappearance and eventual discovery of Molly Bish’s remains in 2003.

Molly Bish was born on August 2nd, 1983 in Warren, Massachusetts. She was a lifeguard for the summer in the year 2000 at Comins Pond in Warren, Massachusetts. The day before she disappeared, on June 26th, 2000, her mom, Magi, had seen a man with a mustache inside a white car parked in the beach lot where her daughter’s lifeguard post was located. On June 27th, Magi drove her daughter to work at Comins Pond near her lifeguard post. She did not see the mysterious man but a nearby witness stated they saw him by Molly’s post a few minutes before she arrived. Magi, Molly’s mother was the last person to see her daughter alive. Magi received a call a few hours later from the police that there was no lifeguard on duty all day and Molly’s belongings were left unattended at her post.

Although, there was a big search for her, it wasn’t until fall 2002, where a big discovery was made in which a blue bathing suit was found in the woods in Whiskey Hill, Massachusetts.

On June 9th, 2003, Molly’s body was found 5 miles away from her family home. The cause of death was not determined but it was presumed that Molly had been murdered and someone had buried her remains. While there have been a few leads, the case still remains unsolved; however, there is an anoymous tip line available for any information regarding Molly’s death.

Spooky + Mysterious Aspects of Life

Hey there and Happy New Year, DETECTIVES! DETECTIVE WRITER to introduce you all to an interesting topic regarding the case of Justin Smith! Proving that miracles do happen after all.

On February 25th, 2015, Smith, a 26 year old Pennsylvania native was walking home in freezing cold temperatures after having a few beers with friends when he suddenly blacked out. He had no pulse and was laying on the snow for many hours until his father, Don found him by the road.

After his father called the paramedics, Smith was rushed to the hospital to which CPR had begun with chest compressions. Although, it was difficult to get an accurate body temperature reading because Smith was so immensely cold, his determined emergency medicine physician at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Gerald Coleman transferred him by a helicopter to another hospital to be hooked on an ECMO machine. In the efforts to warm his blood and then bring it back into the body. Smith’s heart began beating on it’s own about 90 minutes after the ECMO machine was turned on.

Smith eventually woke up 30 days later surrounded by his family. He did have severe frost bite and lost his pinkies and toes as a result; however, upon waking up, he remains truly grateful on the efforts made to save his life, realizing the absolute miracle it was. Smith went back to school with the intent to get a degree in psychology.
